I feel that one of the easiest and best places to start promoting your affiliate links is through article marketing. Article marketing is the practice of writing articles pertinent to the products you are promoting and then getting them published all over the web. Article marketing has proven to be wildly successful, and many affiliate marketers swear by it.
Like other affiliate marketing promotional methods, article marketing can be time consuming. It also poses some other problems. For instance, if you aren't a very good or experienced writer, producing these articles can be difficult at best. That's one of the major problems that I faced early on in my affiliate marketing career.

This is important because publishing the same exact article in many places can lead to search engine penalties. You need to try and avoid that.
Search engines like Google and Yahoo frequently check their content for duplicate material. Upon finding it, it may be removed altogether. This means that you may even lose the original article, and all of your affiliate links and traffic with it. A lot of affiliates are also under the impression that by changing the article title the search engines will leave it alone. This is a myth. Search engines typically check the content of the article body, so just changing the title won't have any effect.
There are many article marketing software packages out there, and some are even free. When it comes to free software, I feel that you get what you pay for. I've tried some of them, and they really don't work too well. If you want a good package, you'll have to shell out a few bucks. If you want to be a successful affiliate marketer, you'll have to invest a little money. It's just like any other business.
One of the best article marketing packages is called Mass Article Control. This software outperforms any other and it's the software that I personally use to write my affiliate articles. I've written more than 100 unique articles so far from 10 original base articles. Most if not all of them have been indexed by the search engines and I've seen serious results since purchasing the product in November of 2009. I went from averaging 1-3 Clickbank sales per month to 10 sales in December, and 12 so far this month.
