Article Marketing Creates Backlinks And Increases Serp

By:

Backlinks are crucial to your website's SERP. The higher your website ranks in search engine results placement the better. Build backlinks while defining yourself as an expert in your field with articles.

Article marketing provides several opportunities to increase your SERP. Distributing your articles to publishers builds the number of backlinks to your site. Properly balancing keyword usage and information in your articles also increases your SERP.

Be Consistent

Consistency is a key component of any marketing campaign. You won't succeed if you work at it for a few weeks then quit. You'll just begin to see the results of your labors about the time you're throwing in the towel.

Create a marketing plan that includes at least one article submission per week. Visit forums and blogs and comment at least once a week. Publish your own articles to your website to increase your keyword frequency.

Market your articles through social networks at least once per week. Networks that move quickly like Twitter open up the opportunity to publish links to your article on a daily basis. Networks that allow more to be written at a time, like Facebook, should be updated at least every few days.

Don't overload your readers, followers or friend lists with links. Post your links frequently enough to get attention but not so much that people consider you a spammer. Interact with your readers and show them you're interested in them.

Encourage your readers to link to your articles as a resource for their own website. Allow them to use your articles as content for their website as long as they keep your contact information in place. Otherwise they're committing plagiarism and you're not generating backlinks for your work.

Good Links vs. Bad Links

Some argue that there's no such thing as a bad backlink. There is some truth to that theory. Irrelevant backlinks are counted toward your SERP, but they don't carry as much weight as relevant links.

Relevant links provide a more positive impact for your keyword rankings. Relevancy is based on the overall content or theme of the website linking back to yours. If the website's overall theme is similar to yours, the backlink is considered relevant.

Irrelevant links are often thought of as bad. The primary reason behind this theory is people won't click your links if they're on a completely irrelevant website. Backlinks that appear to come from irrelevant sources don't necessarily create a negative impact on your SERP.

One major search engine reports that irrelevant links are simply not counted so they have no impact at all on your SERP. The same search engine explains that backlinks originating from "bad neighborhoods" do cause a negative impact on your SERP. Link farms and backlinks from pornographic websites do damage your ranking with search engines.

Build Backlinks and SERP Simultaneously

Articles allow you to further personalize your website and the links that lead to it. The articles you write specifically to market your business obviously contain relevant content. Each article you publish to an article directory creates an immediate backlink to your website.

Publish your articles through a distribution service for maximum effectiveness. Some services allow you to sit back and watch SERP and backlinks increase with very little effort. One single submission pushes articles through to thousands of article directories, blogs and e-mails.

Article marketing is more than writing articles to share information about your products and services. Always put your best foot forward and design your article marketing campaign around link building as much as an informational tool. Properly marketed articles will result in a very quick increase in SERP.
