Arizona Car Auction: What You Need To Know To Find A Car

By:

If you are planning to buy a used car in Arizona, make sure to check all the Arizona car auction sources to find the best choice for you. Arizona has so many auction service providers including government and private sources. Arizona transportation department holds an auction twice a year and they offer a wide range of small and midsized cars used by officials. Private auction companies hold auctions every weekend or on a monthly basis and carry a large fleet of vehicles for customers to bid.

However, it is crucial for you to know how to examine a car because you do not want to pay for something that seriously is not worth buying. Before going to any auction, prepare a budget and analyze your vehicle requirements. Most of the vehicles that are displayed in auctions will be sedans but you can find luxury cars and convertibles as well. Auctions may not be a suitable choice for you if you are in need of a car very urgently. It will take some time to source the right car if you have preferences.

Prepare a list of car models you are willing to buy and look at different Arizona car auction websites or contact them to find out if these models are displayed. Read some user reviews about the models so that you will see the common problems associated with cars of your preference. Once you find out the common problems, find out how much you have to spend to correct these problems. Some auctions will charge you a user fee to attend while others are free. In the case of paid auctions, check if it worth attending after paying a fee.

Most of the Arizona car auctions permit examining the car prior to the auction date. There are few things to consider while examining a car. Ask for the car's service record to find out if the oil changing has been done regularly and the car met with any accidents. Buying cars suffered from flood damage is not a smart idea so stay away from such vehicles. Check the car's windshield to see if there are any cracks or chips. Check the car's painting because many people repaint the car before selling to prevent rust being visible. These paint jobs will be mainly done with substandard quality paints and will not last longer.

If you are not getting a service record from the auction source, check with other Arizona car auctions. Check the wheel rims, panel gaps and bottom side of the body to find out signs of rust. Rust can be a real problem with the looks of your car and it may become unusable quickly. If you see an OK car with brand new tires, do not get excited because it can be tricky. If the tires of a car is evenly worn, that reflects a suspension alignment problem and knowledgeable dealers will hide this from you. Check the vehicle identification number on the car and make sure it is the same everywhere. If these do not match, there is something strange going on and you do not want to take a risk.
