Arguing Is Good For Your Relationship

According to a recent newspaper report couples often row up to seven times a day. In my opinion that number seems awfully high however it made me feel better as my husband and I probably only row about 3 times a day. Well below the average. Also quite comforting was the fact that rowing is seen as healthy. Apparently couples that never row are either lying or are just not that into each other. A couple that rows together stays togetheror should that be play together?

My husband and I have had some real happy times of married bliss dont get me wrong. Lovely holidays away, romantic meals and just enjoying the sharing of a good glass of wine and a chat. However sometimes we have huge rows and they do tend to get very heated indeed. The most common things that couples row about are money, dirty house, parking and cooking! Ours is definitely the last one on the list.

My husband is a trained chef and as such he has historically done all the cooking. He is a very good chef but consequently it is quite intimidating for me to cook him a meal. I once spent a whole day in the kitchen trying my best to make something nice. On his arrival home from work he had a look in the pot and headed out to the take-away. I have never cooked since and he often moans about it.

When we have a row, it always ends up with somebody saying that they are leaving-usually me. Ridiculously I look at flats to move into and have even rung a secure storage company to arrange a unit for my belongings! I have no intention of going but I am determined to make him think that I am.

In the end, we always kiss and make up and I think thats what married life is about. You always need to be able to wipe the slate keen and just start again. Till the next row! And the golden rule- never go to bed on an argument, stay up and fight!
