Are iPhones The Commuications Tool Of Today?

The iPhone is a widescreen phone that features touch screen controls that allow you to enjoy all your content, including audio-books, music, TV shows, movies, and games. 
 
On the surface, the Apple iPhone is a great-looking phone, and the user interface will no doubt revolutionize the way all of the leading wireless phone vendors around the world approach the market. 
 
And Apple’s latest release of their iPhone is faster and cheaper than original.
 
iPhone also ushers in an era of software power and sophistication never before seen in a mobile device, which completely redefines what users can do on their mobile phones. 
 
iPhone syncs all of your contacts from your PC, Mac, or Internet service such as Yahoo.  It’s also pioneering Visual Voicemail, an industry first, which lets users look at a listing of their voicemails, decide which messages to listen to, then go directly to those messages without listening to the prior messages.
 
It will play the same videos purchased from the online iTunes Store that users enjoy watching on their computers and iPods, and will soon enjoy watching on their widescreen televisions using the new Apple TV.  As I mentioned, iPhone lets users enjoy all their digital media content and entertainment, including music, audiobooks, audio podcasts, video podcasts, music videos, television shows, movies, and video games. 
 
Apple’s iPhone 3G production hits 800K units per week.  And around 50% of iPhones replaced conventional mobile phones, 40% replaced smartphones, and 10% replaced nothing.  28% of iPhone users surveyed said strongly that they often carry their iPhone instead of a notebook computer. 
 
Currently the iPhone is available only in AT&T and Apple retail stores.  The original iPhone and the iPhone 3G are available in 8GB and 16GB versions.  And the 3G's rated battery life fares well against comparable cell phones.  Apple quotes 5 hours of battery life for talk or video, with a full 16 hours in music mode. 
 
Both Apple and AT&T stores started selling the original iPhone on June 29, 2007.  The second-generation iPhone 3G went on sale July 11, 2008, and by the end of the year Apple has promised that it will land in 70 countries. 
 
According to a study conducted by Neilson, iPhone currently is 4th in the smartphone market.  About 40% of the iPhone users surveyed said strongly that they want to add new software applications to their iPhones.  Apple has already promised free software upgrades to improve it's phone over time.   And, running any MP3 as your ringtone and downloading 3rd party software and games are a big plus.

In addition to the built in hard drive, it also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology and can detect location from Global Positioning System satellites.  But the technology didn’t stop there, the iPhone has a number of proximity sensors to detect device rotation and lifting it to your ear, allowing the phone to seamlessly shift between phone and media player just by where you position it.  
 
New applications range from video games that use the iPhone's motion-sensing technology to guide characters to study tools for medical students and a program that allows users to find nearby cell-phone-carrying friends on a map.  The addition of global-positioning technology improves the iPhone's accuracy in locating users.
 
Continuing Apple's tradition of keeping everything clean and simple the iPhone runs on a stripped down version of Mac OS X and sports an innovative user interface for using just a finger to control the device on-screen.  On the surface, the Apple iPhone is a great-looking phone, and the user interface will no doubt revolutionize the way all of the leading wireless phone vendors around the world approach the market. 
 
The user zooms in and out of photos by "unpinching" and "pinching" them through the Multi-touch interface.  "It's a great music phone, and I'm sure it will be fantastic and have an interesting user interface," Microsoft's Asia-Pacific head of smartphone strategy Chris Sorenson told press during a recent visit to Australia.
 
If there's one thing most people agree about the iPhone, is that it's one seriously good-looking device.  The Apple iPhone is also available without call function as the iPod Touch.  All in all, although the Apple iPhone is quite expensive, it is definitely a phone that will generate a lot of buzz, and can potentially mark the move of music phones into the mainstream.  If the iPhone is in fact closely related to the iPod, which is a highly rated music player, then you can expect that the Apple iPhone is also of good quality in terms of delivering quality sound output as well as an easy-to-use media playback interface.  The Apple iPhone is a great first try from Apple.
