Are Your Finances Turning You Into A Chain Smoker

People of all income brackets are suffering financially these days and if any of those people are cigarette smokers, chances are their habit has escalated since their finances began to decline. The economic state is a very serious matter and it has devastated so many people from all walks of life. The one thing about smoking cigarettes is that it will definitely not make your finances improve any at all. If anything it will only make things worse since the costs of cigarettes has continued to rise even more so than other consumer products. The sad thing is that when many smokers are under a lot of stress, they will begin to smoke even more rather than slowing down. This is what turns many people into chain smokers.

Even if you know that you need to stop smoking and save that money you are spending on tobacco, now might be the hardest time to stop that things are so bad already. The last thing you want to have to think about is quitting the one habit that you draw strength from, or do you? You really do not get any strength, any contentment, any real satisfaction, or peace just because you smoke a cigarette. If anything it always gives you one more thing to worry about which is your health. It is difficult for any smoker to light one up and indulge in this deadly habit without it at least crossing your mind about what it is doing to you.

If you think your financial state is bad now, just continue to smoke tobacco and see where you are in another ten or twenty years, if it even takes that long for the effects of smoking to catch up with you. It seems like people are developing diseases like lung, throat, pancreas, stomach, and any number of other cancers and ailments at younger and younger ages. Just because one of your relatives did not die from lung cancer until the age of eighty five, does not mean that you will last nearly long. People in their fifties, forties, and even younger can be damaged from smoking.

The only hope you have of correcting what smoking might have already done to you is to stop now. Stopping now will increase your chances of living longer and give your body a fighting chance to perhaps undo some of the damage that has been done. Even quitting now is no guarantee that you will never get one of these smoking related diseases, but the odds get a little better every day that you do not smoke tobacco.
