Being a single mother doesn't have to put a roadblock in you wanting to go back to college, it isn't as difficult as most women perceive it to be. If you happen to be over 30 years of age, you have greater chances of getting a grant or a scholarship than are most teenagers.

For many scholarship programs, you are required to maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 to get funding. Schools also vary in the amount of scholarships that get given out every year. The application process is available online for many scholarships, and you should show them your desire to go back to college for your education when applying.

There are various different scholarships for women in their thirties that you can take advantage of. It is best to apply for as many scholarship programs as you can, and also apply for any financial aid from your local college. The Pell Grant can also help you by giving you an additional $5000 to go to school.
