Are You Planning Your Own Ticker-tape Parade? Questions Psychic Elizabeth

Are you busy planning your own ticker-tape parade? Or are you scratching your head wondering why Im asking you a question like this? On this day, but many years ago, on October 29, 1886, the first ever ticker-tape parade happened in New York City. It was completely spontaneous. The Statue of Liberty was being dedicated. As the officials walked down the streets, the office workers threw ticker-tape out the windows. Someone must have thought it was great enough to make it a celebratory thing from that day forward.

I read the following quote from Leo Buscaglia, also known as Dr. Love:

The majority of us lead quiet, unheralded lives as we pass through this world. There will most likely be no ticker-tape parades for us, no monuments created in our honor. But that does not lessen our possible impact, for there are scores of people waiting for someone just like us to come along; people who will appreciate our compassion, our unique talents. Someone who will live a happier life merely because we took the time to share what we had to give. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have a potential to turn a life around. Its overwhelming to consider the continuous opportunities there are to make our love felt.

For today, lets look at our lives, past, present and future. Lets look at the people we have helped by loaning them money, giving them a sofa to sleep on, feeding them when they were hungry, listening to them cry over a heartbreak or any other kind deed. Yes, this can include your family members as they count for this exercise! Lets REALLY see ourselves for the kind, loving, giving people that we really are. If you change one life in your life time alone, you are worthy of your own ticker-tape parade!! I personally am going to chop up pieces of paper and throw them over my own head as a symbolic gesture! Im going to do it outside though so I don't have to clean it up...says the Virgo.

You are amazing. You are a helpful individual. You are kind. You are loving. Yes, you have had your moments where you were less than wonderful, but who hasnt? Your core nature is that you will lend a hand to someone in need. Lets get going. Well be late to our ticker-tape parade!!!!
