What I would suggest to you is to take a look at some of the free ads posted on the free classified, gather about about a dozen that you really like (make sure the description is precise and includes photos and a number) and start contacting people. Then, if you find a few places you genuinely like you can make a visit down there with appointments already set up. This is not going to only save you money, but also time as well! You can find all kinds of properties for lease, rent and sale. For example, here are a few I found on a free ads site:

Obviously I was in the Sarasota FL section. But ultimately you have the entire WORLD to choose from. Yep. The entire world. Are you moving to New Zealand? How about New Orleans? Maybe New Mexico is in the cards for you?!? Either way, you know you are going to find a real estate option on these free ads sites quite easily! Also, you can post free ads as well in the "wanted" sections, and people can actually contact you and let you know what they have available! This option is really nice because you receive alerts to your email address; skip and delete what doesn't interest you and reply back to the ones that do. Now THAT'S a time saver!
