Are You Looking For Inaccuracies In Your Credit Score?

Well if you are then you are then you must know how many times things like this get messed up! Credit bureaus aren't perfect - A credit bureau (U.S.), or credit reference agency (UK) is a company that collects information from various sources and provides consumer credit information on individual consumers for a variety of uses. It is an organization providing information on individuals borrowing and bill paying habits. But because they are collecting information they aren't really checking on the info to see if it really is correct or not.

In fact, your credit score could change several "hands" from the original initiator. Any one of these people or machines could make a mistake and you wouldn't even know about it, especially if you have a lot of different bills going on at once. A lot of people don't catch these discrepancies and that is why a lot of companies have smartened up and decided to let you the consumer actually view your free credit score right online.

Now if you would go to a company that specializes in this - you could be asked to pay several hundred or several thousands of dollars. In other cases you can find credit scores online, but usually it's still a "big" price tag. One of the sites I found online allowed you to view your credit scores on their credit monitoring software programs. These are free - for a trial period. I think this is a nice little option because you can actually try it out and see if you like it or not. If you do like it, great!

You can go ahead and buy it and use it as much as you want - unlike those "pay one time use one time" sites that make you pay every time you want to view your credit score! Credit Monitoring alerts, when delivered within 24 hours of any change, will be the first indication of a discrepancy, inaccuracies or fraudulent activity on your credit. It is the quickest and easiest way to proactively monitor your credit file. Credit Monitoring does not affect your credit or credit score like a lot of people think it does.

I think the credit bureaus like to scare us with this because then we won't check and we won't see any discrepancies! By the way - another cool thing about these free credit score websites is that they have a ton of information on them regrading how this works, why it works and what your rights are as a consumer. Over all it's a very educational way to understand more about credit bureaus and scores and how to get "mishandled" inaccuracies taken off your account - and yes it is possible!
