Are You Looking For A Fantastic Gift For The Man In Your Life?

It's that time of year again; the holidays are right around the corner. It's time to bundle up for the cold and head out to the malls and shopping centers to fight the crowds. It's a wonderful time of year to spend time with the ones you love and give gifts to show how much you truly care. I sat down one afternoon to do just that! I started to make a list of the people in my life and the gifts I thought they would enjoy for Christmas this year.

I flew through my list; I knew exactly what I would get for everyone in my family. That was, until I reached my dad's name on the list. Once again, I am reminded of what a terrible shopper I am when it comes to picking out a gift for my dad. I am convinced that there is a pile somewhere with all of the bad gifts that I have given him over the years. I was determined this year to put a stop to the tradition of bad gifts. I started to make a new list, a list of things and activities that my dad enjoys.

He is a simple guy, so there weren't many things on my list that he didn't already have. I knew my dad loved going to church, and dressing up to take my mom out to dinner, but I was stumped when it came to turning that into a gift. I was thinking of every possible thing money could buy, when an all too familiar scene popped into my head. My dad wore some of the most embarrassing neckties to church every Sunday. It was then that I decided that a tie or two would perfect for my dad this year. I was relieved to find such an easy gift for my dad that I couldn't possibly mess up any more than he already had.

We live in a world where we depend on technology for everything. I am no exception to this so it was no surprise that I turned to the Internet for the solution to my neck wear dilemma. I searched the Internet to learn something about neck wear before I walked into a department store completely clueless about what I was looking for.

Instead I found a website that was the answer to my necktie prayers. They had every color in the rainbow and every shape you could imagine. There were red ties, bow ties, skinny ties, and just plain silly ties! I couldn't imagine my dad wearing a bow tie, so I quickly clicked on the section labeled plain ties, which was exactly what he needed.

When I saw how beautiful and rich in color the skinny ties were, I was amazed that they were so affordable. I was able to fill my dad's closet with neckties that I knew he'd love, and were embarrassment-free for our whole family. The days of gift giving gone wrong are over for this girl, thanks to the traditional, always classy necktie.
