Are You Going On A Trip? Do You Need Extended-stay Lodging?

By:

I am no stranger to traveling. In fact, I have spent some of my most wonderful times in cities such as Rome, Paris and Tokyo. One of the things I have always liked though is the extended-stay lodging option. Sure, a regular hotel, motel or Inn is good for the weekend, but if you plan on staying in any one place for longer than a few days - try an extended stay motel. These motels are nice because they give you all the same comfort that your own home would such as; complimentary web access both the hard-wired type and the wireless kind, a dual line phone combined with free local calls, two TV sets with cable connections consisting of 75 channels for your enjoyment, a blow dryer, a steam iron and a clothes horse. Plus, depending on the motel they also might offer additional items such as a kitchen that is fully equipped with appliances such as a personal refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker, giving you an option to be more practical, with no need to eat out every day which may mean more shelled out money.

Aside from your residential needs, your business requirements are also answered because of these services: audio-visual equipment rental, photo copying and printing services, and the likes. Furthermore, a lot of these extended-stay hotels are placed right within a mecca area. This allows you to visit all the different buildings and places that you normally would need to visit on something like a business trip or a vacation - but the location is much closer than anticipated. For example, one option I found in Austin included the town's coliseum, the convention center, and the University of Texas. Those who may want to be one with nature can go for a visit to the following places that are also nearby: the Zilker Botanical Gardens as well as the Nature and Science Center. The motel is also close to the zoo, the Arboretum, and the LBJ Library Museum. As you can see it really is close to everything you would or could need or want to see!

I suppose some people assume that these extended stay Inns are expensive because of the amount of time you might be staying at one - but actually it's just the opposite. In fact, if you check on some of these sites you can find a comparison chart which will allow you to find hotel reservation websites simultaneously to help you find the lowest rate instantly. So for instance, say I want to visit Tuscany, Italy from April 13th - April 23rd. I simply put in the info and the ending page will show me different locations of these extended motels as well as prices:

Locanda Di Mirandolina Hotel Tuscania, Via Del Pozzo Bianco 40/42 Tuscania, Italy -
The homey atmosphere of this bright and courteously run guesthouse in Tuscania's old town center attracts a wide clientele from all over Europe. Per night: $90.52 Room cost: $905.20.

Now from the location above, I would say this is a pretty impressive price, especially since its across the globe for a person such as myself. Lets just take a look at a regular hotel and how much it would cost, same place, same dates, same amount of time:

Cheapest: $97 per night = $970
Expensive: $178 a night = $1,780

Obviously as you can see from the price comparison of a regular hotel versus an extended stay hotel that they extended stay is much cheaper. And remember, you will have all the amenities you have at home at these extended stay locations - bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, etc. Stay in comfort! Check it out!
