So you inted to lose weight. That's great, but do you mean it? Are you genuinely motivated to lose weight?

If you're starting a 'diet' with some vague idea about 'losing a few pounds' and doing 'a bit of exercise' to make sure, then maybe you shouldn't waste your time. You really will be wasting your time.

If you genuinely want to lose weight, you must set yourself a proper weight loss goal and be seriously motivated. If you don't plan to succeed, you have planned to fail.


I liken it to the law of cause and effect. There has to be a cause to create an effect, and the cause always comes first. Straight to the point, it is an easy natural law to recall, and, it appears, one of the easiest to forget.
Could you make a cup of tea without first boiling water? Or would you think a seed would grow into a plant without being watered? Can you cash a check without first depositing funds? No! Of course not!

But how many people do you know who think they should get the rewards of success without putting anything in first? If you apply the law of cause and effect and make the initial investment your return will surely follow. This applies to everything you do, not just to weight loss.


Life educates us and shows us that we have to put wood in a fireplace before we make a fire; we have to deposit funds before we can cash a check; we have to plant seeds, water them, and nurture them before we can harvest the corn. Unfortunately, we all too often forget these things when it comes to achieving things for ourselves.



How many times has someone told you "I try to lose weight but I don't just seem able to". I wonder how often what they really mean is I tried losing weight but I wasnt prepared to put enough effort in and gave up very easily.

If you want to achieve a particular result, or effect, in your life - and weight loss is a good example - youve got to start with the cause to create that effect. When you dont achieve the result, or effect, that you want, the chances are that you have not set the appropriate cause into motion.




When you set up and start with the right cause, the effect you desire is sure to follow.
Decide for yourself if you wish to be a cause or an effect. You can choose to be a cause and make things happen or you can be an effect and be the result of whatever happens to you.
For success in weight loss, you have to become the cause and apply your passion. Become your own weight loss cause. Become seriously motivated to lose weight.
