Are You Feeling Restless In Your Life?

Throughout my life, I have felt restless at many junctures of my life. After becoming an entrepreneur and surrounding myself with other successful entrepreneurs, I realized that the feeling of restlessness is rather common. What does this mean? Why do feel this and what do we do when we start to feel restless?

My mind was immediately wrapped around this topic. I have spent most of my adult life feeling restless. At 36, I am now at a point where I have the confidence in MYSELF to recognize when I feel restless and do something about it...I TAKE ACTION. I realize hindsight is 20/20, however, I wish I had this confidence in my 20's, but I also realize now that it wasn't my time. Everyone has their time when they come to realize THEY control their lives rather than being a 'victim' of what life throws at us.

That said, this show resonated with me because I have learned that I am not alone. Millions of adults feel restless throughout their lives. We think we are unsettled with our lives because we are unhappy, we thought our lives would be somewhere else, etc., however, this feeling of restlessness is our heart telling us to 'take action.' It's not another one of life's hurdles, but our heart telling us there is an opportunity that awaits.

There was a comment left on a website site about feeling restless and it says, 'It's your heart saying "Let's Go Here!" The going might be uncomfortable at first but as you mentioned a big break through awaits.' The disappointing things is that most people will not see this opportunity. They dwell on feeling restless and wonder when their life will get on track. They won't recognize the opportunity that stands before them, but see the negative aspect of it.

It can't say that I one day woke up and recognized an opportunity and decided to go after it. My life was so in the 'toilet' that I knew it couldn't get much worse. I decided to make a big decision to hopefully quell the feelings of unhappiness and restlessness, and learned a rather significant life lesson.

What I learned echoed Eric's show today. I learned that what I thought was an 'escape' from my problems, ended up being the breakthrough I had been waiting for. It opened up my eyes to what that feeling of restlessness REALLY meant and it changed my life.

I believe it absolutely takes getting to one's lowest of all lows to recognize these breakthroughs. When there is nothing more to lose, that careless decisions are made is when the heaven's open up and you hear the angels sing...that moment, the moment when you get hit upside the head with reality. That moment of careless thoughts ended up being the life lesson you've been waiting for.

That is what happened to me just a little over a year ago. I made what many thought was a careless decision, however, what I came to realize was that, I was actually following my heart. The heart that was telling me, 'It's time to take action on this restlessness and unhappiness.' This realization has me consistently waiting for other restlessness now because I know what lies on the other side of it is another one of life's breakthroughs. It is absolutely refreshing to know this now!

One can only hope that this article will resonate with at least ONE person who will read it while feeling the restlessness and decide to take action. Make the change that their heart is urging them to make and experience one of life's breakthroughs!

This breakthrough will affect every aspect of one's life...i.e. personally, emotionally, professionally. My breakthrough came and within MONTHS my profession blew up, my marriage was moving in the right direction as opposed to the wrong direction and life started moving again. To some, this may sound like 'airy-fairy' stuff, however, for others, you'll get it and be inspired by it!
