No matter what business you are in it is easy to become the expert, the go to guy or gal, the one people know and trust to provide the valuable information. Quite often we forget how much knowledge we have sitting in our heads, knowledge that your prospects have no idea about. Knowledge that can set you up as the expert and ensure your business has an endless stream of customers.

People want to use products and services from businesses that are seen to be experts. We do not ask a handyman to change a leaky tap we ask a plumber. We do not expect a business coach to design our new website; we would use a web design company. So how are ensuring that you are seen to be the industry leader, the expert in the field, providing solutions to all.

The easiest way to build the credibility and become that expert is to write a book on the topic and become a published author, however not all of us can do that straight away. Therefore the next best way to become known as the expert is to provide insights, blogs, articles, videos and information sessions, seminars, workshops for your prospects to attend, read and listen to.

Videos are probably still the most underutilized tool in the online marketing world. One single video has the potential to be spread hundreds of thousands of times. Imagine that happening with your website URL on the video just bringing traffic nonstop to your website to see more.

Webinars, seminars, workshops are all brilliant ways to lift the profile of your business and showcase the knowledge you know. Quite often business arrives after completing such event, this is due to the amount of value and knowledge you have shared and passed onto your prospect. They know feel comfortable with you, trust you more and can see the value you might be able to add to their world.

No matter which way you decide to promote yourself and build your profile, becoming an expert is one sure way to get more business and to get people listening to your message.
