Are You A Fan Of Comedies? Then Check Out These 3 Funny Fitness Films

Fitness films can provide you are a fantastic genre. They are entertaining, inspirational and sometimes they are also very funny. In this article I will be looking at the lighter side of this genre and providing you with 3 of my favourite funny fitness films.

1) HAPPY GILMORE:

You pretty much know what you are getting with Adam Sandler films. In this 1 Adam Sandler is Happy Gilmore, a hockey player who has a brilliant slapshot but is useless in every other area. After getting thrown off every hockey team he tries out for and bumping into the golf trainer Chubbs Peterson by chance, Happy Gilmore makes his entry into the world of professional golf and his erratic behaviour ensures that it is an eventful ride.

We get to see Gilmore wrestling an alligator, smashing up a mini golf course, fighting with Bob Barker and more as he blunders his way through the golf tour. If you are looking for a funny fitness film with lots of slapstick and laugh out loud moments then you will not be disappointed with Happy Gilmore.

2) THE WATERBOY:

This is another Adam Sandler film but this time instead of being super aggressive he is super stupid. Sandler plays the extremely stupid, 31 year old water boy Bobby Boucher. After a run in with 1 of the football players, Bobby's coach sees that he may be stupid but he has a mean football tackle. As a result he gets a place on the football team but his dim-wittedness ensures that there are plenty of laughs along the way.

Some of the top scenes include Bobby tackling his professor Colonel Sanders after a disagreement, Bobby phoning his hero - the professional wrestler Captain Insano and getting publicly humiliated and Bobby being used as a set up for the amazing line; "Gentlemen, which brings me to my next point, don't smoke crack!". The Waterboy is another extremely funny fitness film that will have you in stitches so if you need a good chuckle go check it out.

3) TIN CUP:

Tin Cup is not a slapstick comedy like the Adam Sandler movies listed above but it is still a pretty funny film. Kevin Costner plays Roy 'Tin Cup' McAvoy - a failed golfer who spends most of his time drinking at the driving range that he owns and manages. After running into a rival from college who has made it as a professional golfer, Tin Cup takes a liking to his girlfriend and attempts to enter the US Open and win her heart.

It has lots of great scenes which include Tin Cup getting fired as a caddie and then trying to steal the golf clubs and Tin Cup making a bet with his rival which then does not go to plan. If you want an entertaining fitness film which has funny moments and a good cast but is not over the top with its comedy, Tin Cup is an excellent choice.
