Are We Honestly More Intelligent Than Our Smart Phones?

Smart phones are way more advanced than their original prototype. The first smart phone was made in 1992 and first released onto the market during 1993. Comparing the original phone to todays models, it would be easy to say that the original was low technology and not very useful at all especially when you consider the price. However, it was a real breakthrough for technology and paved the way for the smart phones we know and use today. It combined the cellular phone with a few basic personal digital assistant features: notepad, world clock, calendar and a simple calculator. It was also like the touch phones, which allowed users to input text via a small stylus. It wasnt much, but it was a start.

Today, mobile phones become more and more advanced technologically. Most of these business phones function similarly to personal computers and their capacities continue to grow. You can now use your mobile phone to browse the net through wireless internet. Download songs, watch BlackBerry videos and play games all on one device. Not to mention all of the different applications you can install in your device. Certainly, you can do it all on your mobile phone.

There is one drawback to having technology this advanced: not everybody can keep up. While our mobile phones continue to grow smarter, some of us are left behind. It can be a bit confusing to keep up with the latest operating systems. There are so many different types that just changing your phones manufacturer would require you to learn another entirely different operating system. For those who are looking for a functional phone with some benefits, it can be an unnecessary hassle. To add to this, our modern world is ruled by technology, which means everything is being transformed into something digital. Things can be hard without a gadget that gets you online.

This begs the question: are we honestly smarter than our smart phones? How can we be smarter when it could take weeks for us just to figure out how to use these phones? Well, just like any other sudden advance in technology, it can take a while for people to get used to using high technology gadgets. This doesnt mean to say that its too complicated. Most people are only starting to figure out how to master these smart phones most of us are just getting there. Ultimately, they help us make jobs easier in the long run.
