Are Shamans Bad At Pvp?

Many people complain that the Shaman class is underpowered. They would say that Shamans don't stand a chance in arena. That is far from the truth, and any veteran Shaman players with Gladiator titles would say Shamans are actually one of the strongest class in PvP.

If you ask in the game, "are shamans good at PvP?" 99% of the people will just laugh at you and tell you to quit the game.

One thing that makes Shamans so great in PvP is that they are a hybrid class. They can deal damage and heal so they can be a huge support for teammates and have great survivability on their own. Shaman is the jack-of-all-trades so they are not very strong in either healing or dealing damage, but if you play the class right, they are still one of the best.

The veteran would generally tell the crybabies to "l2play" which means "learn to play". It is true especially when you watch their videos on how they dominate the arena. Their playing style might be completely different than yours, and you can learn a thing or two from watching them.

Most of the time, Shamans have to use walls and corners to break line-of-sight. The newbies overlook the importance of breaking line-of-sight, and Shamans major weakness is when they stay in the wide open. Often times, they would get double or triple teamed in the wide open area.

Some players won't even use totems because they feel like it is useless to drop them since they are fragile. Totems are very important in the arena so they MUST be used.

Newbie enhancement or elemental Shamans will forget to support their partner by healing them. Just because they are not restoration spec doesn't mean that they can forget to heal.

Also, timing is very important in anything that you do. You don't just use bloodlust/heroism randomly in the fight unless it is the perfect time. For example, if one opponent is being CC'ed (crowd controlled), then it might be ideal to use it when the other opponent is about below 50% health.
