Something of note here concerning couriers and their business is that software delivers more and more automation, allowing for more to be done with less. Delivery software has many different programs with it to help a courier business. One item of note is the customer web portals that are available with different programs. Not all of these programs do have a portal that customers can use. If your software does not have this type of portal, then it would be wise to upgrade to one that does.

Since most people now do business online, it is a given that delivery software would also include some sort of portal to allow clients to schedule pick ups and deliveries for their courier needs. It is convenient, easy and a lot faster than doing things by phone or in person. Portals like this allow for customers to handle a lot of their own issues and ensure a more timely pick up and delivery for packages going out or coming in. One such use of a portal of this type would be the ability to create an account with the software.

This allows for tracking, ordering, shipping and so many other things. Portals like this are a great help to both clients and couriers alike. Choices are usually given as far as shipping goes. Some software programs also include items such as inventory management, invoicing options and other services. It will depend on the software program suite that the courier service is using as to what features the customer portal will allow for. Each program is different and will allow for different services to be available to the customers of the particular courier service that is used.

A very simple answer to this question "Are customer web portals included with courier software?" is a yes, but with a caveat. Not all programs will have this feature, especially those older programs which have yet to be updated. Having an up to date program will allow for these web portals and this, in turn, can bring the courier service more business and allow for a more efficient operation and better customer service. It would be in the best interests of any courier service to sincerely think about this type of software for their company. It is not hard to install and the benefits will be tremendous. Time is money and this prevents time and money from being wasted.
