Appreciation For You!

APPRECIATION!
Hi Everyone. This newsletter is dedicated to you. First, Id like to let you know that I appreciate all of you for:

Showing interest in my newsletter,
Coming to see me,
Your feedback,
Your referrals, and
Being wonderful people.

I also appreciate my family and friends:
For looking after my children/pets when Im stuck, and
For being there when I need someone, and
Just because.

Im just completed a wonderful course. In this course, there are several things in life that are important:
1. Be impeccable with your word
2. Never take things personally
3. Never make assumptions
4. Be the best you can always
5. Focus on what you want rather than what you dont want.

Here are some examples for each:
1. You may do something and think to yourself, I must be stupid for doing that. You may let your mind continually review the incident, when really, its just a thought. It means nothing. Dont buy into it! Another example, someone may say youre ugly. You have a choice to believe it or not! Take responsibility for your actions, but do not judge or blame yourself.
2. Someone says you look fat. That person is only expressing their own beliefs and opinions. Let it go; otherwise their poison becomes yours as well.
3. You meet someone for the first time and decide theyre lazy and snobby. What a horrible assumption! We see what we want to see and hear what we want to hear. We dream things up and make assumptions based on them.
4. Forrest Gump was happy because he did his best at whatever he did and without any expectation of a reward for doing so. When you do less than your best, you leave yourself open to frustration, guilt, self-judgment and regrets. If you overdo it, you will deplete your body and it will take longer to reach your goal.
5. Remember hearing Dont be late. This is hard. No pets allowed! Wouldnt it be much better to say Be on time. Ill figure it out. Pets are happier at home. Note that saying Close the door! can still focus on what you dont want, depending on how it is said.

I have some homework for you, if youd like to try it. For 3 days, write down 5 different things you appreciate about yourself. At the same time try practicing those 5 tips. The interesting ones for me were the assumptions and dont wants. Focusing on what you do want and only positive ideas really makes a difference you can notice.

Id also like to take the time to mention a few people who have some wonderful businesses related to wellness.

DID YOU KNOW?

I personally experienced a change in additude when I focused on praise during my childs sports activity rather than criticism. One other thing to note; theyre just out there trying to have FUN! I think they know more about life than we dothey know what fun is.we need to get back to that ourselves!
