Apple Offers Subscriptions For All Ipad Publications

By:

As we can see from the news that the Apple company has accorded to allow newspaper publisher to sell subscriptions by its democratic App Store, an issue that has been a source of arguing with magazine companies since the iPad went on the commercialize last spring.

It is reported that sales of iPad publishing's had been bounded, with a few exclusions, to single copies. But response from many publishing firm was warm, at best. Though Apple has agreed to share some data about broadcast with magazines, allowed that broadcast accept, publishing companies have been pushing for full access to data about who is buying their article.

As we all know that this is an authoritative step, but it really needs to go advance, said Nina Link, chief executive of the affiliation of Magazine Media. If we are going to be got around, and it goes consecutive to Apple and we can not get this data, that is a problem. I decidedly think it is one more step that makes fairly of a roadblock. Apple said the conclusion about whether to provide ad hominem data would be up to consumers.

Our reporters have known from the Apple company that the customers buying a subscription by the App Store will be given the option of allowing the newspaper publisher with their name, email address and ZIP code when they pledge, Apple said in a affirmation based on its Web site Tuesday morning. Publishing company may seek another data from App Store buyers provided those buyers are given a clear choice, and are advised that any another data will be cared under the publisher's concealment policy rather than Apple's.

As we can see from the news that gross from subscriptions sold through the App Store will be apportioned. Apple will keep 30 percent, and newspaper publisher will keep 70 percent. That is the same revenue which sharing split that applies when apps of single copy issues are sold through the App Store.
Apple said it would not bound publishers to selling their apps solely through Apple. And when publishers do sell apps away Apple's store, they will keep 100 percent of the revenue.

It is reported that our doctrine is simple when Apple brings a new subscriber to the app, Apple earns a 30 percent share; when the publisher brings an existing or new contributor to the app, the publisher keeps 100 percent and Apple earns nothing, Steven P. Jobs, Apple's chief executive, said in the statement.

As we all know that as part of the new agreement, publishing firm will be able to sell digital subscriptions on their Web sites and can choose to provide access free to existent subscribers. So it sounds like a good news to our buyers.
