CCTV camera is installed for security reasons in places of great importance mainly. CCTV camera captures footage of specific place of a particular day. The footages are what can be seen in normal video cameras with mentioning of day and date along the footage. According to the history of CCTVs, the first CCTV camera was installed by Siemens AG at Test Stand vii in Peenemunde, Germany back in 1942 with the motive of observing the lunch of V-2 rockets. The renowned engineer of Germany Walter Bruch designed the camera and operated the installation back then. These are very useful devices which bring the time to time and day to day record of a place at the tip of the finger. CCTV cameras are found to be very useful in prevention of crimes. The awareness among the people that the footage of their do's and donts are being captured is enough to make people think before engaging in any illegal activities in place of surveillance.

Some even install CCTV cameras in their homes a measure of security. Such home appliance is known as Home CCTV cameras. Home CCTV also follows the same working phenomenon as the CCTV used for commercial purposes. In Home CCTV, the footages captured are transmitted in form of signals to the limited monitors to keep an eye on the ongoing day to day activities. Home CCTV is installed specially to prevent thieves, robbers from trespassing. A Home CCTV is a highly sophisticated device and is quite satisfactory to be used, when it comes to the issue of security of a home or any commercial place.
