Anxiety Attack Symptoms Why You Need To Understand These Symptoms In Controlling Any Future Atta

By:

Are you the person that believes you have suffered the experience of having anxiety attacks?  I personally know the damage that they can do to both your mind and body.  Please understand that you do not have to be alone in suffering from this ordeal.  What you seek is the ability to not only control any such attacks in the future; you want to be able to eliminate these damaging episodes completely from your life.

Knowing exactly what the anxiety attack symptoms are can mean the difference between suffering from a full blown attack, versus diffusing one before it gets out of control.   Some of the more common symptoms of an anxiety attack are the following:  shallow breathing, trouble focusing, discomfort or tightening of the chest or stomach, sweaty palms, dizziness, unexpected anger toward others, and restlessness.  These symptoms can be different from one person to the next.

There is a key element which will enable you to control any future episode.  What you must be able to do is control the thoughts which are swirling inside of your mind.   It could be that you have to give your first public speech in several days to a large audience of unfamiliar people.  Your mind starts to picture imaginary events within this setting.  You fear that you will trip and fall as you approach the podium.  Or, you picture yourself completely forgetting your speech right after you begin.  Perhaps when you finish the speech, you imagine the audience reacting unfavorably, (with little applause).  If you dwell too much on these imaginary (and negative) possibilities, your nervous system and brain become over-stimulated.  If you are unable to control these thoughts, and your level of stress reaches the near breaking point, you probably will experience an anxiety attack.

You have a decision to make in your ability to control a possible attack.  Either you can decide to take back control of the thoughts inside your head, preventing the damage that an attack could inflict on you.  Or you could do nothing and succumb completely to the negative and imaginary thoughts that will soon take complete control of your mind.

Individuals who chose to take control do so by confronting their level of anxiety and stress directly.  If you are an individual who chooses not to let anxiety attacks take over your being, you must learn to lower the level of stress in your body.  Learn relaxation techniques to reduce your elevated heart rate, and remove that deep ache that is occurring in the pit of your stomach.  Try slow breathing exercises.  Listen to soothing Classical music.  Engage in that favorite hobby of yours.  Take a warm, relaxing bath.  Read a comforting book.  Through all of these suggestions, what you are trying to do is direct your thoughts elsewhere; away from the imaginary and negative thoughts which have raised the level of agitation within your being.
