Anticipating Angels & Demons

Anticipating Angels & Demons

By:

Several novels have encountered the accomplishment enjoyed by Dan Browns the Da Vinci Code. With a fascinating foundation and an offering of a mystery which isnt that novel to begin with in an exciting new light, booklovers have been engrossed with the literary work. The film, presenting Tom Hanks in the starring role of Robert Langdon, likewise faced great success considering the popularity of the book it was rooted on.

But majority of Dan Browns patrons are of the estimation that Angels & Demons, the book that arrived before the Da Vinci Code which also presented Robert Langdon as the primary character, is a far better work compared to the more illustrious sequel.

Whereas the Da Vinci Code tackled an ages-old secret concealed by the Catholic Church, that is, Mary Magdalene being the spouse of Jesus Christ and the Holy Grail being a testimonial to the sacred bloodline of Gods only begotten son, Angels & Demons contends with anything more secular how the Vatican runs.

Angels & Demons, in truth, is one of just a few of literary efforts that offers us a peek at the selection of a new Pope.

This is what the volume is all about, amidst the backdrop of a plot to seize the Vatican hostage with pressures of letting loose an anti-matter device that can instantly wipe out a section of the world. Its a battle versus time, with Robert Langdon guiding the pack by solving problems and decoding cryptograms in an attempt to unearth the location of the anti-matter bomb.

Its an exciting novel, indeed. And all signs point to the fact that its going to be an exciting flick. This early, critics are already declaring that Angels & Demons is more custom-made for the movie compared to its heir, the Da Vinci Code. The latter, after all, is chatter, its conflict runs are more static, and its selling point is the cerebral sorting out of its mysteries. Angels & Demons, on the other hand, is a chase account one which will convert well as an action mystery film.

Aside from Tom Hanks, Ayelet Zurer acts in the film, portraying the role of Vittoria Vetra, a CERN scientist and an intellectual and loving match for Robert Langdon. Ewan Macgregor plays the persona of Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca, who is a fundamental character in the story.
