Antalya (in Greek. '"") is a Turkish touristic city near the Mediterranean sea. It is principal place of the fruitful coastal plain in the south of Asia Minor, which is called Pamphylien since ancient time . Today the area is called Turkish Riviera because of the long unique sand beaches. Antalya"s old part lies to a large area above a cliff. The important sea port which has got borders on the long Konyaalt beach is in the south of the city.

Antalya is the capital of the eponymous province, about a half of the population in the province lives in Antalya. Since 1997, it is a twin city with Nuremberg, and street railway has also been on the roads since 1997.
The symbol of Antalya is located in the center of the city ,it is a minaret named Yivli-Minare Mosque, which was built in the 13th Century by the command of the Seljuk Sultan Kai I. Kobad. The historic buildings which are a medium-sized cotaining less than 10 percent of the population at the moment.

Antalya Today is the center of a rapidly growing touristic area, but it is also the preferred city by new industrial and commercial enterprises, offshoots of European companies have settled in well-developed financial area in the regional city. The housing according to modern standards adopted.

According to tourists description ,the Hadrianstor , at the Antalya tatil street ,has been the only remaining gate since the ancient times in the city of Antalya and the harbor. On the left and right of the gate you see the old city walls.
The gate was built in honor of the visit Hadrian in the year 130. On 4 pedestals built, with 3 arches and pillars decorated with ornaments can be seen on both sides. Overall, the object has less the character of a city gate, but rather that of a Roman triumphal arch. The two towers left and right of the building are different, the left is from Roman times, the right was made by Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat I. (1219 - 1238).The gate restored in 1959.
