When can I return to my routine?

Do I need to restrict my activity after surgery?
Your doctor will recommend that you restrict activity until youve had a chance to heal. Obviously, you shouldnt be driving if youre taking pain medications other than over-the-counter drugs. Walking is fine, and encouraged. Your doctor will go over these restrictions before and after your surgery.

How long will it take to lose the excess weight?
Typically, you will begin to lose weight right after the surgery and will lose 50 percent to 60 percent of your excess weight within two years.
