Analyze Competition

Analyze Your Competition - Google PageRank: The way Google and numerous other smaller search engines, choose in which order sites appear in their search results, is to find out how many websites have links to a specific site. The more links a site has, the more significant it is going to be and obviously it will receive a better ranking in the search engines. This is at this time the key feature that controls what position a site will take in the search engine results. There are some other elements, but this is really the leading factor that the majority of the search engines use currently. PageRank offers a measure of how many inbound links a site has. Page-rank is an exponential scale between 0 - 10, so the greater the PageRank of a site, the more incoming links it has from other site pages.
Keywords: Choosing which keywords your website's pages should focus on, is apsolutely the furthermost significant decision you can take when beginning search engine optimization. The goal of keyword investigation is to discover which phrases will not only pass visitors to your site, but more importantly, introduce targeted traffic to your site. Targeted traffic refers to the visitors that will generate most sales as they will actually find precisely what they want when they come to your site. Before you start using all over the place the first keyword that comes into your mind, it's better to begin a thorough research. Firstly to find out how difficult it will be for you to get a good ranking for your special keywords. Moreover you should search for the amount of individuals that type those words when they search on the internet. This will give you a better idea on the amount of internet users you can expect. In order to research your keywords you can use programs like Overture, Adwords, Wordtracker, and several other free or paid tools. It's not difficult at all to discover them; the complicated part is to find the words that convert better for your specific website. Trial and error is the way that will help you one day eventually, if you are determined enough to find the best formula. A decent key-word research program allows you to type a word or phrase and get other similar keywords that users have searched for. Some tools display also the number of competitor sites there are for each special phrase . This allows you to search for different words that do not have enormous competition while also creating targeted traffic to your site.
Body Text: The real content, the main text of your web pages is a key element of on-page optimization. To enhance your main text you should use your significant keywords a lot, but be very careful, for the reason that much more than a lot, is spam for the search engines. A good analogy in most cases is 4-5% of all of the keywords on your website. You can also use bold or italics because this will offer extra weight to your important words. Another very good technique is to place your main phrases as close to the beginning of your main text as possible and without doubt on the first paragraph of text. Preferably the keywords that you try to target will appear first on your main text. So always remember not to use your important words too often. This is well-known as keyword stuffing, and the search engines definitely don't like this at all. When you use over and over again the same keywords your website could eventually be penalized or banned. Finally, you should not use text which is precisely the same color as the background of your webpage (and nobody can read it), or tiny text for the reason that both of these methods are easily detectable and you may get penalized by algorithms or by humans that work for Google, Yahoo or any other search engine.
