Whether we decide to install an under counter water filter or have maintenance work carried out on our homes, at some point Financial input enters the picture and the majority of us have to prioritize on what we spend our hard earned resources.

When we combine this with the fact that if it seems there's no real urgency we can so easily procrastinate. Many of us tend to put off what we might think is not necessary or that can be put on the back burner. So things of importance might not be seen that way when it should be, especially when real advantages to our health and well being are so easily attained.

Then there is the other aspect to human nature that if we can get away with it, we might just take the risk and not do it. Depending what it is we are faced with of course, but for some that is not even a factor.

To protect society against individuals and groups that would abuse this to the extent where they are willing to harm others, laws are put in place and then enforced by the relevant authorities.

How does all of this relate to a home water filter?

This following comment relates to the vital need for legislation being enforced to protect drinking water supplies in the USA. Its made in the light of 1500 major pollution investigations being stopped or delayed in very recent years.

An EPA official described the situation as "a huge step backward. When companies figure out the cops can't operate, they start remembering how much cheaper it is to just dump stuff in a nearby creek."

SO IS LEGISLATION GREATER THAN HUMAN NATURE?

If the law was enough, why is there a need for organizations like the Environmental Protection Agency?

The scenario described above most likely is being influenced by Money and a Lack of Urgency along with Procrastination to a greater or lesser extent.

Human nature in its many rich forms displays itself to us in the most unlikely ways. Sadly for one reason or another there are those who are willing to pollute our water supplies and do not worry themselves about how it effects others.

The EPA and other responsible organizations work hard to keep things to do with the environment reasonably stable so as to supply drinkable water.

A water filter can ensure family homes have the necessary protection from the many contaminants found in our water supplies and along with it another valuable asset, peace of mind.

In conclusion may I raise the question again - How much is an under counter water filter worth to you?
