The traditional drum kit is well established and is as much a part of rocknroll folklore as guitars and amps, but there have been big changes to the way drum kits are made and set up over recent years. It may sound like sacrilege to some drummers, but the electric drum kit is making big inroads into the world of music. There are a lot of benefits that come with playing this style of drum kit and it is no surprise to see many drummers make the switch to electronic systems.

Practice makes perfect and most parents will want to encourage their children but the noise a drum kit can be a bit hard to take at times! These newer models take away the problems, preventing drum related arguments.

For some people, the electric drum kit will never look right. Given that appearance is important for many people in music, this may mean that in the future the aesthetics if electric kits will need to change.
