Amazing Abs In Just Minutes A Day

Are you looking to get amazing abs but do not have a lot of time to spend? Do you hate doing stomach crunches and sit ups? Are you the type of person who hates going on diets? Well, I think I have got just the right plan for you.

The key to amazing abs for most people is not about doing a lot of ab exercises but about losing weight. If it did then all those people who do all those ab exercises in the gym each day would have amazing abs. The truth is that, while those exercises do work the ab muscles, you still cannot see them because they are obscured by a layer of fat.

So, first let us talk nutrition. It has been said that amazing abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. This is true. Diets are designed to fail because they are a short term solution to a long term problem. You need to change your fundamental approach to nutrition.

To get great abs you need to eat wholesome foods thee way nature intended you to. Eat things like brown rise rather than white rice and steamed or raw vegetables rather than vegetable dishes with all sorts of sauces. Eat lean beef and bison. Bison is really the best. Eat turkey and chicken and fish. Eat fresh fruits and nuts.

So, now that you have changed your diet it is time to start working out. Now, the average person burns 2,000 calories in an average day. To burn a pound of fat takes 3500 calories. So, you simply need to find a workout to increase your metabolism to burn more calories throughout the day.

One of the best ways to do this is called the Tabata protocol. It was named after a Japanese researcher who discovered in the 1990s that you could burn more fat for longer periods of time by simply working out 4 minutes a day. Yes, you heard me, 4 minutes. Now, you can apply the Tabata protocol to anything, biking, skating, running, swimming, squats etc. However, in order to work the abs we are going to apply it to the kettlebell swing.

If you are not familiar with a kettlebell it looks like a cannonball with a handle and is ideal for swinging with one hand or two between the legs. While this action may not seem like it does much, you are wrong. You will immediately feel it in your abs.

So, what you want to do is simply swing the KB between your legs, thrusting out with your hips. You will perform this simple motion for 8 periods of 20 seconds with only a 10 second rest in between. I know it is hard to believe but I have heard of people losing 36 pounds this way in two months. If you do the math this is 216 pounds in a year. Even if you do not have that much to lose you will quickly realize how quickly your abs will be showing in only minutes a day.
