Aluminium Radiators Are Energy Efficient And Save You Money

By:

Aluminium radiators are a great way of updating your home whilst saving you money on your heating bills. In fact, in the long run, they can pay for themselves and are stylish as well as energy efficient. Before we get onto that, however, let us look at how they work.

Aluminium radiators require much less water to work than more traditional radiators, and this has a number of benefits. Firstly the radiators heat up much more quickly, so you don't need to set your heating to come on hours before you get home from work in the evening, or early in the morning whilst you are still asleep.

The second thing is that you gain much more control over your heating. Because there is less water, these types of radiators are more sensitive and can increase or decrease the heat in your room relatively quickly. Thirdly they remain much cooler to the touch, which is great if you have young children in your home.

So from a practical point of view this type of radiator is a much better option. How many times have you returned from holiday, for example, to a freezing cold home that has taken hours to heat up again. With an aluminium radiator this no longer need be the case.

Putting practicalities aside, the second biggest area of benefit is simply that they save you money, as less water is required to be heated and therefore less gas is required. It's really that straightforward. The other way that they can help save money is that they are compatible with renewable energy solutions, for example solar panels.

By using aluminium radiators alongside solar panels, you are not only creating a more efficient radiator, but one that doesn't cost you a penny in ongoing energy and, with Government schemes now available in the UK, it can actually end up paying you money back over the long term.

Often when we think about green products, we assume that design is put on the backburner to gain the energy savings required, but that need not be the case. Aluminium radiators are also contemporary and stylish, as well as being available in a wide range of sizes, designs and colours. You can pretty much guarantee that you will find a version suited to your home. In fact, unless you have very traditional taste in decor, you really cannot go wrong with an aluminium radiator.
