How to treat hiccups the quickest way. As those who get hiccups on a daily basis know how annoying it can be. Most people would drink water but usually it takes a bit before the hiccup subsides. What many do not know are the reasons behind hiccups. The causes behind it can vary from eating too fast, consuming too much alcohol, smoking, drinking something cold then hot or vice versa, smoking, and many more causes. There are no solid reasons for it, the body reacts and this is a result. People tend to treat anything like this lightly, and usually its no big deal but still, there is a reason why it is happening. Be weary of what your body is saying and asking for.

There are treatments for this, also a wide range. Breathing into a bag, drinking cold water, holding your breath. Scaring and startling someone with hiccups can also work, but again remember that most treatment might need to be used more than once, it is also do to severity of the situation. Another method as an herbalist, if all the others fail, you can hold your right wrist, mildly tight, and drink water, at the same time as you swallow you will release the wrist slowly. This is another method to relief the hiccups. Its useful when all others fail, this works because through slowing down the pulse and consuming water will remove air from the system. This works only with water, so its not with any types of liquid like beer, soda, or anything like it, especially if it contains carbon. Although it was said to sometimes work, its a 50/50 chance to use it and its like eating sugar.

This is better then swallowing a teaspoon of sugar, especially if you are diabetic or limited to resources to treat it. Check with what you can take before treating any type of problems, and keep in mind that certain medicine mixed together can become a poison. Hiccups are a small issue, but nothing is really small, and it is usually caused by something that you should give your attention to.

Just remember that hiccup is a reaction from the body towards whatever that was eaten or drank, but not limited to, as smoking and stress has effects to hiccups too.

This is usually embarrassing especially during work or out during dinner and the hiccups refuse to subside. Think about this remedy and try it out, if the hiccups are bad it may need to use more then once.
