By: Jayson Lopez

It is a looking glass for human expects fineness in addition to optimistic public alteration. It is, in brief, a microcosm of the person's life, with all of its enthusiasm, disaster as well as victory.
Just eight teams competed in two areas. Oregon overpowered Ohio State in the title fight, as well as the West region held a third-place match. Though the NCAA contest now defines the nationwide champion that was not forever the case. Awaiting the 1950's, the NIT was thought a more important game than the NCAA, and teams frequently made decisions to go into the NIT and go around the NCAA tourney. Owing to this dichotomy, two of the most excellent centers of the 1940's never met in an NCAA tourney. George Mikan's DePaul team usually entered the NIT, at the same time as Bob Kurland's Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State) won two NCAA titles. More than a few schools entered both tournaments. One team like that, City College of New York (CCNY) led by Irwin Dambrot, won both in 1950. Paradoxically, CCNY defeated Bradley University in the championship of both games. One more school, Utah in 1944, entered the NIT, lost in the primary round, and then went on to come first the NCAA title. Kentucky pulled off a comparable achievement in 1949, losing in the second round of the NIT and then going on to succeed in the NCAA Tournament.
In the year 1941, the East district added a third-place match into the agenda, and in 1946, a nationwide third-place amusement was held for the primary time; the match would be a game until 1980. In 1951, the game prolonged to 16 teams, and in 1952, Seattle was the site of the first factual "Final Four," with both semifinal sports competition and the finals game in one metropolis.
