It is important to learn when to turn down things that will overfill your schedule. You also need to get plenty of sleep and exercise and learn to manage stress.

Stress is a big contributing factor to acid heartburn. Try to find ways to relieve your stress or to relax. Getting enough sleep and exercise is a really good way to attack stress. Separate yourself from stressful situations, where possible and learn to say "no" when you already have too much to do.

Moderation is one of the best ways to get a handle on acid reflux attacks. Limit your intake of food and alcohol and be fully aware of the choices you are making in food. Cut down on your consumption of alcohol, get enough sleep and ensure that you exercise daily. Once you are aware of what your triggers are, you can work towards reducing and eliminating them, in order to reduce the amount of attacks that you suffer.

The best way to reduce the incidence of these types of uncomfortable acid attacks is to clean up your eating habits. Try to cut down on your drinking and get plenty of sleep and exercise. Be aware of what you are eating at all times, food is the major contributing cause to heartburn. It is important to try to control the occurrence of these episodes before they become chronic.
