All About Acai Berry

When you look at an Acai berry, you will see that it is a small, round
fruit that looks similar to grape or even a blueberry. It is however
darker in color, normally purple or black. This berry has a very small
amount of pulp and contains a large seed. With origins in the Amazon
rainforest, you will find that Acai berries will grow in bunches that
are very similar to bananas and are found in large palm trees.

Long before the rest of us discovered the Acai berry, the fruit was

Modern health foods have taken a liking to the Acai berry and it is

there was quite a bit of research done! In all of the studies done,
the Acai was proven to contain vital vitamins, minerals and fiber that
our body depends on. In addition, they are very high in antioxidants,

In 2008 there was a clinical study that was done to help show the
effects of the Acai berry on the human body. It was during this time

ingested as pulp or juice. Meanwhile, there were other studies shown
