All About 3d

By:

3D televisions are just now hitting store shelves here in the US, and consumers are wondering if they have to move to a new technology to get the same enjoyment out of watching television and movies. Not to worry, the standard dimension shows and movies aren't going away anytime soon. In fact, most people are not huge fans of 3D to start with.

Many people would rather watch non 3D movies in their own homes. Watching 3D at the theater is different, you go there for the experience and sometimes 3D is part of the experience. But most people are ready to take off the glasses and start seeing thing normally once the movie is over. The 3D fad or movement will be nothing more than an extra bonus for those that want to add the experience to their home theater system.

When and if studios start shooting everything in 3D friendly ways, it might change and someday the technology might be available for much less and included as standard fare. Consumers should still have the choice of whether or not to watch the television in 3D or in the normal mode. It shouldn't be forced on the consumer. In the meantime, people can sit back and just enjoy the pleasure that is HDTV. Watching movies and television in HD should be enjoyment enough for most people and for those that haven't made the switch yet, they will soon find out what the fuss is all about.

Unlike 3D television, HD is as simple as just sitting back and enjoying the movie. You don't have to wear big virtual reality glasses or do anything special to watch the television. You just watch it normal like you always have and enjoy the show without changing the way you do it. You do need a few nice pieces to put it all together. If you are watching television on a standard television now, you will need to make some purchases in order to move up to HD.

You will need a television that is HD capable and you will need HD cable or satellite service. The cable or satellite service isn't much more per month than what most people are already paying. The television is your big investment and can cost a pretty penny. Once you have the Tv and the cable, all you have to do is enjoy the HD content.
