Aion: The Tower Of Eternity Versus World Of Warcraft

By: Tom Kranz

You may have loved playing the World of Warcraft with all the character customizations, leveling options, and quests in the game, but Aion: The Tower of Eternity certainly has much to offer for current MMO players who think that MMO games can't get any better. There are certainly some fair comparisons between the two games, such as in character customization differences. However, playing the game for yourself is what you should ultimately do so you can decide for yourself which MMO is better.

Character Classes

In the WoW game there are plenty of character choices for you to pick and it seemed like an endless stream of customizations that were allowed. You may be delightfully surprised to find out that NCSoft has given Aion the power to do virtually any character customization that you want. For example, feature and characteristics sliders are present in the game so that players can mold faces and body structures among other things concerning their appearance. Different skin tones and hairstyles are also possible in Aion.

It's not just about choosing whether you want to be a Priest, Mage, Scout, or Warrior in Aion, though, because your powers can go beyond the normal limits of the characters. For instance, Aion utilizes a Stigma stone system, which is a way for players to uniquely customize the abilities and skills that their character has. In addition, players can make their own weapons and customize their own armor.

Leveling Options

This is another area that is directly comparable with the World of Warcraft. Many people who have played higher levels of the game can attest that there are plenty of options when it comes to leveling that stays constant. In Aion, you'll have the option of Quests, Dungeons, as well as both Solo and Group Grinding for the leveling action that you want. World of Warcraft patrons who may get bored at times will definitely have a lot of fun while leveling in Aion.

PvPvE

Aion also has incredible features when it comes to combats and PvPvE. Not only are players able to battle each others' factions of the Elyos and the Asmodians in dynamic aerial combat, but they also battle another enemy: the Balaur. This is a common enemy that is primarily responsible for the splitting apart of the world of Atreia in the first place. The power to fly is used throughout the game as this is perhaps the most important combat feature of the game.

If you loved WoW and other MMO games, Aion: The Tower of Eternity certainly has much to offer. In-depth character customizations, the ability to fly, and leveling options are all hallmarks of NCSoft's Aion.
