Aieee Entrance Exam

By:

It is a dream of every student to succeed in IIT-JEE or AIEEE entrance exam.AIEEE is a national level entrance exam, which students have to clear after 10+2 (if they want to get admission in Engineering, Architecture and planning courses). This exam is conducted by CBSE and on clearing this exam students get admission into top notch colleges in India. The exam is usually conducted in the month of May and applications forms are available to students form January. On cracking this entrance exam students can get easily admissions in19 National Institute of technology (NITs) and other premier engineering colleges in India. Based on their AIR (All India Rank) or state rank, candidates are called from all over India for counseling and according to their rankings colleges are allotted to them.

Those students who have cleared their 10+2 with a minimum score of 50% are eligible to appear for this entrance exam but for SC/ST minimum percentage is less than the general category and also students who are appearing for 10+2 are eligible for this exam. Many students apply for this exam all over India for approximately 35000 seats. The exam consists
Of objective type questions with four options for every question and on each correct answer candidate gets 3 marks and on incorrect response 1 mark is deducted i.e. negative marking is there. The exam pattern for engineering consists of physics; chemistry and maths with maximum of 540 marks with each section having a weightage of 180 marks and candidates opting for architecture are tested for mathematics and aptitude.

There are many AIEEE coaching institutes which prepare students for this entrance exam. As lakhs of students take up this exam every year so students are advised to start preparing for the entrance exam from 10+2 starting only or before that in order to beat the tough competition. Students should learn how to manage their time in order do well in exam but while preparing for engineering entrance exams, students should not take 10+2 board exams for granted. The first and foremost thing for students preparing for entrance exam is that the concepts of basic things should be clear, then only they will be able to have clearer concepts and apply them judiciously.

Some students consider physics a tough subject because out of 20 students only 2-3 students are clear in their concepts and that is why students find physics quite tough. Besides that, lack of practice and mismanagement of time are some other factors for students facing problem while preparing for physics. In case of chemistry, I would suggest to put more efforts in Inorganic chemistry and practice organic part. For maths just practice as much as you can. Due to short of time, some students just go through maths problems and when taking the exam they tend to forget the solution. Such a situation should be avoided.

Time management is one of the most important things that should be kept in mind while preparing for engineering entrance. In order to succeed in exam, students should remember basic things like while basic concept should be clear, never look at the solution first, while attempting a problem; try to solve previous year question papers, never loose confidence, never hesitate to ask things if they are not clear to you, study with great interest, never take NCERT books for granted and study from one book instead of being confused by so many books. Aspiring students can also help themselves by joining any coaching institutes which are preparing them for AIEEE or any other engineering entrance exams. These institutes can help you by letting you practice more and more mock tests and in this way your speed of solving problems is also increased. Last but not the least, never forget to revise full syllabus before appearing for any exam revision. This would surely help you in remembering things and one should always schedule his/her time in a way so that he can have extra time for revision.
