Affiliate Marketing: Recruiting And Building Your Downline

By:

Articles that explain how to recruit an affiliate downline are abundant. One thing that we're lacking is information on maintaining and keeping our downline. If you don't build a relationship with your affiliates, your program and your profits will suffer.

Recruiting Your Affiliate Downline

Experience in success is important when building a downline. You have a better chance at success if you can honestly point at the sales and independent success you have had as an entrepreneur. Don't brag and shove your success into the faces of your potential recruits, simply show them how you've managed to achieve success.

Show enthusiasm when talking with recruits. The more enthusiasm you show about the program, the better chance you have of turning that cold prospect into the hot distributor you need. Build confidence in the business while you work on building trust as a mentor.

You will have several opportunities to take prospects to presentations where other successful distributors will be sharing their company success stories. This would be the perfect opportunity for you to introduce them to others in your downline. Success breeds success. Include your prospects and new recruits in the occasional meeting with your sponsor.

The more successful people a network marketing business can recruit, the better the opportunity looks for future recruits. Successful downline affiliates will help convince other prospects that yours is the right opportunity for them. Make your affiliate marketing business irresistible.

Communication Builds Trust

Communication is a key component to any relationship, be it business or otherwise. Start with great communication with potential recruits. Make your website truthful and informative. Answer all e-mails and concerns your visitors may have about your program.

Continue to communicate with your downline after they join your program. Send them a welcome message. Tell them that you're happy to have them on board. Introduce yourself and give them a few tips on where they should start.

Open communication with your new affiliate recruits by explaining how you drove traffic to your website. Your success is apparent. Show them how to duplicate it and build their trust and confidence in the process.

Your affiliate downline has no reason to continue working with you without trust. One of the best ways to allow them to gain your trust is through personalized contact. Whether on the phone, through e-mail or via instant messengers, contact with your affiliates is very important.

Make sure that your affiliates have your contact information. Let them know you're always willing to answer questions. If they have questions or concerns and cannot find a way to contact you, they'll move on to another opportunity.

Answer all of your e-mails within 24 hours when possible. If your downline takes the time to ask questions you should put forth the effort to answer them. Ignoring affiliates who take the time to learn more can be a fatal mistake.

Daily Communication with Recruits

Make corresponding with program members a part of your daily routine. There is no point in providing your contact information if you don't respond in a timely manner. If your contacts are required to wait several days for responses, they're likely to move on to another opportunity.

Contact your recruits often enough to remind them that they're part of your group and you value them. Send personalized notes about their growth, achievements, and shortcomings. When offering criticism, make it constructive. Never tear your recruits down if you expect them to respect what you try to teach them.

Avoid sending so many e-mails that you start looking like a spammer. Include as much information as possible in each daily or weekly e-mail. All information needs to be helpful and relevant to building their affiliate business to mirror your own success.

Successfully gain their trust and your affiliate downline will be more willing to give you feedback. Feedback is invaluable when building recruiting websites and helping your current affiliate downline recruit more. Exponential growth is the key to success in network or affiliate marketing.
