Many a new business owner seems to think that advertising for their new business must be difficult and that it must take a lot of leg work and money if you plan to succeed. Truth be known there are many inexpensive and simple ways to promote a new business. One of the best ways to promote your new business is by using promotional advertising. Promotional advertising is one of the simplest and most effective marketing tools available today and whether you are starting a brick and mortar business or an online one, your new business will begin taking off right away just by purchasing some promotional products.

No matter what business you are in, you need something to give to people that has your info on it. Traditionally this would be a business card. There are better ways to do this. There are small items that you can carry around , yourself and your employees can keep key chains to give to people. There are a lot of different ones to pick from. Some even light up. The point is you are giving them a way to find you and a reminder, so they don't forget you.

Secondly, contact a promotional product company and get pens printed up. Make sure they are unique looking, either brightly colored or uniquely shaped. Don't skimp on the price, because you want them to be decent pens that people will want to write with. Now hand them out at retail establishments, to cashiers, or leave one on the table with a nice tip at a restaurant. Businesses that use pens will appreciate having them and they will be looked at then passed on for others to see.

You can have a casual uniform for employees to wear. If you style it up enough. other people will be interested in having one of their own. I like the idea of a dog groomer having their company name on a t-shirt that you have also printed what appears to be muddy dog prints across the shirt. The dog print could become part of your logo and go on a cap as well.

Whenever you have the chance to send something promotional home with people it is a good idea. Slipping a small surprise into the bag as you are loading purchases works. You can do the same if the items that they are buying is being mailed as well. Stick a promo pen, a beeping key chain, or even a silly magnet in the box before sending it. They will love getting a freebie.
