Adding Value For Environmentally Friendly Projects

By:

Learning how to provide value in a dynamic space that is always changing. As the green marketplace expands there is no one expert to know ALL the ways to add value to the project. Environmental specialties are expanding every day. For example: energy efficiency, water efficiency, green janitorial, LEED Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, recycling, transportation, etc..

Education and collaboration with environmental experts and professionals who are also in learning modes will increase value to your clients' significantly. Collaborate, share and welcome new ideas and technologies will provide a creative solution goal environment. "Masterminding" or brain-storming techniques can help speed the the process and maximize the number of useful ideas. (Results from the Profitable Green Strategies Course, www.ProfitableGreenSolutions.biz)

Fortunately, education is a low-cost investment. Collaboration and even joint-ventures/partnering can be done inexpensively as well and the returns can be huge!

Additional methods to bring more value to a project include:

2 Way Business Agreements

Joint Ventures (JV's)

Utility and Free Tax Rebates and Incentives

2 Way Business Agreements:

In this example: Delivering a $1,000,000 service contract for the global rent-a-car company we sweetened the contract to choose that specific car company and that generated an additional $1,000,000 in business.

To the client, they were getting an extra $1,000,000 in revenue by working with us versus the competitors. What suppliers, partners, colleagues, professionals, etc. could you develop reciprocal business agreements? How could you help two clients (or a supplier) benefit from each other? How could you help them become more "green"?

In the next example: We introduced client #1 who furnished green products to client # 2. This was a win/win relationship for both companies. When the next biods came around and the approval process was in place with ease since we helped them save costs and increased revenues. We positioned ourselves as the "trusted advisor," which was fruitful for all.

Joint Ventures:

For Example: A "green" travel agency gives 50% of its commissions back to its clients in exchange for their travel business. The client can use this extra, free money to fund "green" initiatives or scholarships, or other social programs. The travel agency guarantees the lowest prices and easily doubles its business because it delivers more value to its clients via joint ventures.

Tax and Utility Rebates and Incentives:

Example: 50% of a solar project in California was funded by state and federal rebates. In order to lower installation costs even more they implemented utility incentives. There are many utility incentives and free tax incentives available and are discussed in the next section.

We want some of these techniques to get your project approved. As you can see in the images the ices is disappearing quickly and our children are counting on you to make a difference.
