Add Yet Another Half Room In Your House Or Apartment

By:

Grow to be a loft bed lover when you seize upon the possibilities that exist for you to save dollars by utilizing loft bed plans, and constructing it yourself. If you live in a big city and have a shoe box for an apartment, you will be excited to add an extra forty-two (42) square feet (s.f.) when you put a king size loft bed in your apartment. The room you generate below your loft bed will be left to your imagination while I try to share thoughts with you through the words of this article.

At this time, I am back in our daughter's shoe box very little area she called an residence in New York City. Imagine you walk through the front door of a room 15 feet wide by 30 feet deep and the first ten feet is your miniature (literally) kitchen on the

right and your bathroom and a closet on the left. Then you come in to the remaining 300 s.f. of area where the two of you are supposed to dwell harmoniously until death do you part.

Here's what they did... once past the kitchen on the right was a tiny dining table and on the left was the "living" space consisting of an Ikea dream of one rock hard couch and an equally as hard love seat, a small coffee table and an eight foot open book shelf filled appropriately and making the screen for the bedroom on the other side. A nice touch, all things considered.

Re-orient yourself to the space just beyond the kitchen to your right as you came in the door where you find the little dining table. Eyeing that wall to the rear wall, the decor was as follows: 1. the TV, visible from both living and sleeping

areas; and, 2. large dresser wardrobe running to the rear wall. Opposite the wardrobe and behind the improvised open bookshelf screen is the bed and one small night stand. That's it, the complete apartment. I didn't mention it, but the

ceilings were quite high. From memory, I would say they were at least twelve feet, which is more than enough for our total renovation.

We are about to add over eighty square feet to this town-house by using loft bed plans to pick the loft bed styles which will let us to add three loft beds to this arrangement. These same beds can be broken down and moved with us later to save a lot

of New York hard cash as you move from place to place.

Begin in the living area with me and think about the two Ikea sofas at right angles to one another on the closet and left side walls. Over them you will fit loft bed frames assuming the couches will fit underneath, otherwise do away with the sofas and set up the type of loft beds having futon couches built-in beneath. It's your (call|decision) as to whether or not you put mattresses on these frames. Pesonally, I would use the mattress area of them for storage, something that doesn't exist in a New York apartment.

Now lets fix that sleeping area behind the open bookshelf screen. Leave the screen intact, remove the nightstand and in its place install a king size loft bed with a complete home office under. There are several designs for king size beds, and

they are absolutely gorgeous. Please see this web site, http://www.loft-bed-plans.biz/loft-bed/loft-bed-plans-for-the-good-life/ for pictures of these amazing arrangements.

No doubt this is unusual bargain, but think about this.... besides using loft bed plans to build your very own home improvement addition, where else can you increase the size of your living area without increasing the size of your monthly housing payments?
