Add Video On Your Website In 4 Easy Steps

By:

Have you ever wanted to put a 60 second elevator speech on your website? Add that personal touch for people to get to know you? How about showing a product so everyone can see how it works and what it is all about? If you answered yes to these questions, but still think that it cost too much to do, that it will take up too much of your time, or just too complicated for you to add video on your website by doing it yourself, then read on.

You will be excited to know that if have a microphone and video cam you can create a simple, yet professional video to add to your website. You are hands on so that every detail is approved by you and your creativity is only limited to your imagination. Imagine what you can create.

If I can add video to my website, I am sure anyone can do it. Here are 4 easy steps to create your own basic video.

1.Record a video with a prepared speech. You can use any form of recording device, such as a video camera, digital camera, or web cam on a computer. Make sure you have a professional background if you are recording yourself, or that your product is seen easily. Although you can do this yourself, it does make it easier to have someone to help you, family member or friend.
2.Upload to a video sharing site. Some popular sites are Photobucket and YouTube, but you can use any of the sites that enable you to get an embed/html code. Both of these programs are free and easy to use, although I do find Photobucket easier to find the embed code.
3.Get the embed code. On the video sharing site you have chosen, they will give you a variety of codes for the video. Copy the embed/html code, which will allow you to transfer it to your website. (You can also copy the direct link code and it can be put anywhere as a link)
4.Paste it to your website. On your website, in your html/code section, paste the embed code where you want it to appear on your webpage. Refresh your page, save and preview in the browser. You will see your video on your website.

It is really that simple. You may have to do your video a few times to get it exactly how you want it. Once it is done, and if you already have your site set up for video sharing, you could have it on your website in a matter of minutes. Even if you have someone who looks after the maintenance of your website, you would just have to send them the embed code and they would put it in.

You may want to have a more elaborate video done, or you still do not have the time to create a video, or you do not want to do it yourself there are many qualified businesses out there to help you.
