Many decorating, home care, renovation magazines display various designs and tips that can be executed to decorate a spare room in your home that can be employed as a study room, a library, a guest rooms, a home office and a play room as well. However, many a times, many of us do not even have the opportunity to embellish and multi-use a spare room. Yet, there is nothing to be despair about, because there is a solution to it; you can create a space in your home that would serve with double duty.

One of the best ways to create a guest room is to simply purchase a sleeper sofa or a day bed that would serve as a seating sofa during daytime and a sleeping place for the guests at night. People usually think that a mattress might do the work, but then they are not as comfortable. These sleeper sofas are far more comfortable; and, should be the primary aim on the part of the host.

If you do not have enough space to construct a new room, you can always convert an already available room into a multi-functional room.

Start off with selecting colour of the paint for the room. Use a neutral colour, which is not too dull or too bright. If you have used a neutral colour, you can always use that room as an office or as a library.

If a large closet is not available, why not avail any corner of the room and illuminate it enough that it may serve as the perfect place for a home office area. Making use of a corner for this purpose would free you of any other hassle.

You can always have some book cases in your room to make it a library, and at the same time, it can be used as a study room. If it is a big room, an entire wall can be dedicated for the book shelves. In this way, the room can be used as a library as well as a study room. .

You can add a mirror to it as well; it is perfect for spacing as well as caters to many other benefits. It would reflect back a pleasant view from the outside of the room and would provide a scenic image. You can beautify yourself by looking in to it and take the ecstasy of the surroundings.
