Act Like A Kid And Lose Some Weight

Tag, you're it. Now it is your job to run maniacally around laughing your head off while you chase your friends through the yard.

Sounds like fun right, of course it also sounds childish, but who cares? Perhaps you would rather be doing something productive like working and making money, but then you do not realize how productive this actually is.

Sitting at your office desk is all well in good in the monetary sense of things, but money cannot buy you fitness, though it can definitely help. Sitting burns around 50 calories every hour that is according to the American Cancer Society's web page anyway.

Running around is going to burn more than 600 calories every single hour, which is nearly 12 times more than sitting would. No wonder kids are so skinny, because they are constantly running their little fannies off.

Maybe you have forgotten how to act like a child, that is ok it is easy to remember. All you have to do is start playing games like tag, follow the leader, obstacle course, capture the flag, or ultimate Frisbee.

Some of these are less childish than others, for example ultimate Frisbee is a professional sport, or at least should be if it isn't. Point is grownups play it all the time, and they are really fit grownups too.

Capture the flag is a semi-childish game that most adults don't play, but it is great because it flexes the mind as well as the body. Two opposing teams are turned against each other, both trying to acquire the adversaries flag.

But when you are caught behind enemy lines you become a POCF (Prisoner of Capture the Flag). Yes this game requires leaders of men and great strategy, so incorporate it into your daily game play and watch your fat deposits melt away.

Playing games is a great way to excite your mind and your body, and also to loosen up from the stress of being an adult all the time. Though, if you would rather just run on a boring treadmill for hours you could do that.

For the most part though, most people would prefer playing an exciting game that tests their physical ability to the maximum. You are never too old to play some childish games, as long as you act young you will feel young.

That is the key secret to maintaining your young-ivity. So keep that in mind next time someone asks you if you want to play some night games with them.
