With accounting you have the option to do many different things in many different settings. You can choose to work in auditing. This is where you check account ledgers and financial statements within a company or government. You can also do management accounting. This consists of analyzing costs, new contracts, expense efficiency, and the structure of organizations within a company. You could also become a tax accountant. Tax accountants have the chance to help prepare income taxes for individuals or corporations. You could also choose to be a budget analyst, financial accountant, or many other things. With an accounting degree, you have the option of working in different settings as well. One setting you could choose would be the government. In this situation you would get the chance to work to supply accounting services to people personally, to a company, or even to the government. If you go back to school and become a CPA or Certified Public Accountant, even more doors are opened up to you.
