Nowadays, enrolling in a nursing course could be an edge over those who are applying for another course. Sometimes, the reason for it is money and career wise. A lot of people have been saying that when you apply for a job overseas and that you are a nursing graduate and are already licensed; you are more secured to have a job. For some reasons, yes, it could be true. With that, the need for nurses all around the globe sets the need for schools to offer accelerated nursing programs.

Why are some students having doubts when enrolling in accelerated nursing programs when in fact they have to be more confident since a brighter future awaits them?

Unlike the regular nursing course, accelerated nursing programs are not open to all ages and to all who have just finished secondary school. The primary requirement for the course is that they need to finish a four-year degree of any course. Business, medical or even engineering courses is not a hindrance. These nursing programs open its door to those young professionals who wanted to excel more and have a more rewarding career. It does not matter what age bracket they belong as long as they are still capable and that the requirements are met.

Contrary to the beliefs of many, accelerated nursing programs are demanding. In fact, they need 100% of your time and dedication because of the subjects and exposure it needed. The compressed programme of study is no longer the same when you are studying in college or in other graduate courses. The 4 years in college for the regular nursing courses are compressed in less than 2 years. The time needed is doubled and the determination to graduate and have a good life after is challenging.

When you graduate from accelerated nursing programs, it actually gives the same benefits with those who have finished the regular nursing course. The reason behind this is that the course itself is just the same, only that the number of years was compressed. The exposure in the hospital, syllabus and other related experience is just equal. With that, when looking for the job, they are on the same footing because of the similar program. Also, when the employer checks their background, it no longer matter who finished the course earlier, what matters most is their dedication for the work.

Finishing a degree in nursing is very rewarding especially when you land on a job that would give you and your family the kind of salary that you wish for. Accelerated nursing programs are there to help you in making decisions for your career. It could be for a lifetime career change or it can be your second attempt for a gratifying opportunity because sometimes, your first course may not be the right one for you.

Graduating from accelerated nursing programs is not just all about the money that you are about to earn. Becoming a nurse is a gratifying career, it does not only make you happy financially but you are given the chance to serve and help those who need your service.
