The Led lights were discovered by a Russian researcher while studying the effects of diodes and electricity. However, for a very long time, the LED lights issues went ignored and no research was conducted pertaining to explore the benefits that it offers. The work of the Russian researcher, Oleg V. Losev, was taken to the next level by Nick Holonayk, who worked on the concept introduced by Oleg and managed not only to enhance the intensity of the light but also, produce a spectrum of different colors as well. It was due to the extensive research work of Nick Holonayk that the world is able to enjoy the LED lights in the distinct colors of yellow and red color.
With more scientists working on the development of the LED and studying the nature by undertaking comprehensive studies and experimentations, they were able to further enhance the glow obtained from the LED and also produce spectacular colors to add to the spectrum of light that can be emitted by the LED. The utilization of the LED has increased in the recent era, commercially. This is the reason why the LED lights are being used in the various sectors like the telecommunication sector to add efficiency to the fiber optic network.
