Video games are now popular with large and small around the whole planet. Some people say that they can go bad because they are at the expense of social relationships and can lead to violent behaviour when used in an obsessive way. But there are those who judge them in a positive, right way saying that they stimulate creativity and imagination. Whether you agree or disagree, certainly, they have become a true cultural phenomenon. They are even considered an art form so much so that they often have a special connection with the film world. Undeniably, many films are born out of video games as well as many of them have been turned into films.

Since the nineties onwards, the video game industry began to have increasing importance among young and old, being able to have receipts for hundreds of millions of dollars. This is a case of Electronic Arts or, in short, EA, which produces video games around the world for large and small so successfully.

About Electronic Arts, or EA
The Electronic Arts, or EA, as also known by this name, is a prominent company in the United States and also is a producer and distributor of video games for personal computers, for all consoles and the Internet. Founded in 1982, Electronic Arts is headquartered in Redwood City, California. Its video games revolve around different genres: action, strategy, simulation, sports, role playing, adventure and arcade.

Various brands, in fact, are linked to different genres: EA Sports including FIFA Soccer, NBA Live and Madden NFL. The brand EA Games, however, includes the exclusive titles such as The Sims and Need For Speed and games related to the film world, like James Bond, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, etc. In addition, the EA is dedicated to the development of services for the online games, viz., the online mode, including that of the lead console platforms of Sony's Play Station and Xbox Live from Microsoft.

The manufacturer has also opened several studios for the development of video games across the whole world. For example: EA Mobile India, Hyderabad; EA Black Box in Vancouver, EA Byrnest Mount Sinai, New York, EA Mobile, Romania Bucharest, Romania; EA Singapore, EA Casual Entertainment, EA UK Guildford, Surrey Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment in Stockholm, Sweden. In Italy the Electronic Arts is based in Milan and has been operational since 1996.

Of note, the latest Madden NFL 12 of the famous series is produced by Electronic Arts.
