A Women's Tool Box And Tools: Barbie Would Be Jealous

What girl doesn't want a tool box that is color coordinated with her pink tools? I certainly did and the box and tools were not easy to find. I am single and own a home that was in need of some small repairs. I did not have a tool box but did have a few pink handled tools. The tools consisted of a hammer with a broken claw and one screw driver. Pretty pathetic! But, I decided to do the repairs myself and was in search of a women's colored tool box and additional tools to match.

These repairs required me to have a pipe wrench, level, multiple sizes and types of screw drivers, a tape measure, hammer, and a wire cutter. So, I trotted down to the local Sears department store because my dad said they make the best tools. Their tools are good, expense and made for men. I did not want to buy the red metal tool box and all the traditional tools that were either too heavy or too large of a grip. No tool box or women sized tools. I left Sears empty handed.

That prompted me to search for the perfect tools and the place to start is the Internet. I Googled "a women's tool box and tools", "women's tools" and "pink took kit". Here is what I found:

Wow, I found a tool belt that is pink. Now, I had not thought about a belt but it looked like a good idea. The belt has 12 pockets all of varying sizes. It was made to hold garden, painting and some small tools but not really work tools. It did have a tape measure holder and side loops to hold a hammer. Nice looking and handy but not what I wanted. The price is about $25.00

Yeah, I found the site I was looking for. The "home" page had everything listed that I wanted. Home repairs, watch out here I come! The tool box contained a hammer, screwdriver, level, spanner, pliers, chalk line, fuses, pencil, utility knife, oil, allen keys, nails, picture wire and hooks, scissors and wire cutter. The cost: $35.00. The one draw back was the plastic tool box. I wanted a metal tool box, so back to the Internet looking again.

The third find was a canvas bag in pink with lots of pink handled tools to help me with my home repairs. The pink canvas tool bag came with: a tape measure, claw hammer, adjustable pliers, numerous screw drives and a tape measurer. But, I did not want a canvas tool box, so I started the search again. The cost: $50.00

I found the pink metal tool box on eBay: The Original tool box PB20MTB 20" Steel Tool Box in pink. The cost: $20.00. I bought the metal tool box in pink and assembled the remaining tools from another web site. The tools and tool box were in my hands in less than 10 days. Shipping was free too.

There's an answer for those who have always been jealous of Barbie, her dream house, and her perfectly pink accessories. It's a women's metal tool box and matching tools all in pink.
